1 - GETTING STARTED

go to step 2

The best way to get your school started in snowsports is to arrange a taster session at one of the ski centres. You can contact providers of specialist schools packages (see lists below) and they will be delighted to offer you guidance on what level of instruction/training/coaching you require. Download this GETTING STARTED PDF

At all the Scottish ski centres you will find a range of lesson packages offered, including "one-off taster" days for schools, however given that skiing is a skill that cannot be learnt in one session, we recommend that schools consider trying a "learn to ski package" that includes a few lessons (normally spread over a few weeks).

Children gain so much from a programme spread over a few separate sessions, and should usually come away being able to ski recreationally, enabling them to go on to enjoy the sport for life.

Schools "Learn to Ski" programs are available throughout the year on snow, indoors, and on dry ski slopes.  See below...

For schools in Badenoch and Strathspey area there a local schools associtaion that can assist with this. Contact the Badenoch and Strathspey Schools Ski Associtaion (BSSSA)

DRY SKI SLOPES

Taking a group of pupils for a ski "taster session" at a dry slope could not be easier.

* No special clothing is required

* All equipment is provided

* The children are supervised by the instructors

* Sessions are flexible from one hour up to 1 day

* All insurance is covered by the ski centre

All you need to do is arrange transport and pay from as little as £5-£7 per child to give them the experience of a lifetime...
